![]() I have looked over and over for a high risk racing game. Current street racing games are boring and miss the concept of street racing. This isn't a casual game, like Need For Speed, that EA makes for the mass population. World of Pursuits is not going after profit, nor is it going after fame, It's solely going for the adrenaline rush. How Is This Game Different Than Other Racing Games? Everyone thinks underwater tunnels are cool ) We want the driving and street racing aspects to be as close to realism as possible, but we plan to have some embellished scenes, architecture, and roads. There is a big center island formed by a volcano that a highway goes around to the different themed areas. It is a multiple island map connected with bridges. We have tons of assets, we just need to play legos with them to build out the whole 16 square kilometer map. I've been a full-stack developer for almost a decade now, and I started combining my passions into making World of Pursuits. I NEED a safe outlet to get the rush, and my passions are cars and computers. It has slowly morphed into anxiety and feeling stuck. Between growing up on dirt-bikes, racing cars, and a tour to Afghanistan in the infantry, I got hooked on adrenaline. I'm older now and realize that's stupid behavior, but still struggle to say no to anyone on the road who wants to test cars. ![]() I've been in cuffs a few times going too hard in cars. There will not be annoying micro transactions. ![]() The game is mostly free-to-play with a subscription tier. You will be doing things like trading parts, working on cars with friends in a garage, winning a fat bet at the drag strip, losing your car and screaming in anger, going to factories to make custom parts, dealing with the legal system and player cops, risking value anytime you speed in a car, building something cheap to trash it, and trying to win the glorious Gumball Race Trophy. World of Pursuits is an open island world PC game that simulates living as a street racer.
